From The OG to vegan and gluten free, this is our story over a decade in the making!

How The OG turned Vegan and Gluten Free

The OG has been Carson's original brown butter triple chocolate chip recipe over a decade in the making! After a lactose intolerance kept him and his partner from eating their favorite dessert he knew something had to be done.

That's when the dairy free OG was born. Friends and family alike agreed that it was a masterpiece, but could it be made gluten free or vegan?

Over the next year Carson spent countless hours a day in the kitchen obsessing over creating the highest quality dietary friendly cookies and voilá!

About the owner!

Carson is born and raised in San Diego. He was a former golf pro and semi-pro golfer playing rigorous tournament schedules since the age of 13. He was on varsity all four years at Torrey Pines high school with many of his class moving on to professional tours. He’s played in State Opens and USGA qualifiers around the country. His passion for the game can only be exceeded by his love for his girlfriend (and CVMS middle school sweetheart) or his delicious cookie creations.

As a kid Carson loved cooking. So much so he dressed up as Emril Lagassi for Halloween three years in a row. From a young age he was making all his own meals. From coloring his omelettes green to making braised short ribs and everything in between. Carson loved putting his own spin on any culinary creation. Presentation and attention to detail were always paramount.

He watched The Food Network as much as he watched Golf Channel. Some of his biggest inspirations being chefs like Alton Brown, Ina Garten, and Jean Philippe just to name a few. The pastry competitions were always his favorite to watch. The chocolate sculptures and extremely difficult techniques were as impressive as they were inspiring.

Although be becoming a five star chef was a dream at one point he realized that after seeing many of the worlds top kitchens, this was not the life he wished to pursue. He loves to express his creative freedom through his baking and cooking. He’d always been known for his cookies and had not been for his intolerances, these delectable creations may have never been dreamt of.

Our first market!

Carson's Cookie Co. made it's market launch in January of 2024 at the Leucadia Farmers Market in Encinitas, CA.

March 2024

Vegan Hyperseasonal Flavors

Now at two markets Carson launched his super limited hyper seasonal flavors. From Hazelnut Hell to The Valencia these cookies are Carson's imagination in its purest form.
